The district’s business manager presented preliminary levy figures for 2025 and said the tentative rate is 4.99, down from last year’s 5.09. He emphasized that whether a homeowner’s tax bill rises depends on that property’s equalized assessed value and walked the board through the online levy calculator the district will publish for residents to compute local impacts. "This year, the number is $4.99 tentatively," he said.
He noted the consumer price index (CPI) was 2.9% this past year and reiterated that the district is tax-capped; he recommended the full levy presentation and more detailed numbers at the December meeting and said the board could pursue January approval if members prefer more time for contractor bids and additional data.
