A motion by Chuck Melki, supported by Kim Winter, to "approve the Metro Police Authority of Genesee County Police Liaison Agreement for a total of three School Safety Officers for the 2025-2026 school year in the amount of $260,198.80 as presented" passed on roll call 7–0. The contract and its funding level were presented as a single package; the board record does not break funding sources and no amendment to the amount was recorded during the meeting.
