Mike Henry reported to the board on the recent meeting of the ESJ Groundwater Authority board of directors, saying the Authority's annual report was accepted by the Department of Water Resources with follow-up requests and that the Authority is preparing a final response.
Henry told the board that two Representative Monitoring Network wells in the southern portion of the basin that had previously fallen below minimum thresholds rebounded in 2025. He also said 35 new projects and management actions were added to the plan, including Lockeford CSD's restricted landscape irrigation schedule, and that only one project has been completed so far because the completed project received private funding. The Authority's budget was approved at the same meeting, Henry reported.
