Mineral staff presents early-stage lithium-brine exploration near Green River

Drew described the project as exploration-focused at this stage; the company would pay exploration royalties annually and production royalties if the leases moved to production. Members asked for a clearer map of parcel boundaries and for a later briefing on proposed surface disturbance and extraction methods; Drew agreed to deliver more-detailed maps when the proposal advances.
The council discussed depth and extraction logistics raised by members (participants noted brine often comes from deep confined aquifers under pressure) and asked that staff circulate clearer lease maps and a description of surface impacts before recommending any county position.
