District reports Zearn progress, monthly financials and forecast

Director of Curriculum Jodie Miles presented highlights of the district’s progress on the Zearn Math platform and said Claymont was asked to provide information for Governor DeWine’s state of the state address about student progress on the platform. Treasurer Kim Beckley then presented the monthly financials and the district forecast.
Following the presentations, the board approved the January 2026 financial report, payment of bills, and the financial forecast (motion by Mrs. Host; second by Ms. Campbell), and also approved a $2,500 renewal for an HR onboarding module for March 1, 2026–Feb. 28, 2027. The board additionally approved a transfer of excess funds from the Bond Retirement Fund (Fund 002) to the Permanent Improvement Fund (Fund 003).
