By unanimous vote the board approved a slate of superintendent recommendations covering personnel, contracts and program agreements. Actions included approving unpaid leave for Alexis Stallman (Feb. 24—1Apr. 21, 2026), hiring Theodore "Buddy" White as a classified substitute custodian at $15/hr, retroactive approval of a certified ELA substitute at $90/day, payment of $498 to mentor Ian Meiser, payment at $27/hr for certain professional development and calendar committee members, approval of a preschool volunteer, and authorization of an overnight 6th grade camp for Oct. 26—128, 2026.
The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Kent State University for College Credit Plus for 2026—1027, annual membership in the Ohio School Boards Association for $8,398, and contracts with OME-RESA (internet services with E-Rate), Congruex (fiber removal and setup to the central office) and Laketec (UPS unit services using E-Rate). The motions were moved by Mrs. Grandison, seconded by Ms. Campbell, and carried on a roll call vote of five yes votes.
