During review of the related porch project, commissioners noted that the facade improvement grant application lacked the required second bid. The chair explained that state/local grant rules governing the program require multiple bids for eligible work; the commission therefore moved to table the grant application until the applicant provided the missing documentation.
Commissioners encouraged the applicant to seek competitive bids for repointing and other masonry work and to return with the completed application and the structural/architectural materials requested in the COA discussion. Staff and commissioners offered to help identify contractors for the additional bid.
