City Manager John Nissel noted the town purchased a small tank with a pump and new self-watering hanging planters to reduce routine watering needs.
The board asked staff to investigate automated watering options, estimate professional-trimming costs, and propose a maintenance schedule for newly planted trees so volunteer efforts are better targeted and long-term survival improves.
