The Claymont City Board of Education approved the athletic director’s recommendations for 2026–27 supplementals and payment for tournament workers on April 13.
Approved supplemental positions included assignments for cheerleading and basketball: Kennedy Beckley (cheerleading head), Gary Watkins (boys’ head basketball), Allison DeLaney (girls’ head basketball), and others listed in the board packet. The board also approved payment for IVC and OHSAA tournament workers.
During the meeting Mr. Peters recognized Sharon Grove’s retirement and thanked her for many years leading the cheer program. The recognition passed on roll call with Mr. Peters recorded as abstaining on that item; the motion otherwise carried.
