On April 13 the Claymont City Board of Education approved the treasurer’s recommendations for March, including the financial report and payment of bills. The board also approved renewal of liability, fleet and property insurance through Ohio School Plan administered by Hylant for the May 1, 2026–April 30, 2027 policy year.
Board members approved a natural gas purchase contract for May 2026 through June 2027 at a fixed cost of $4.69 per thousand cubic feet (mcf). The board accepted a $500 donation from First Federal Community Bank designated for the high‑school digital board project. On the roll call for these items Ms. Campbell, Mr. Peters and Mrs. Wolf voted yes; Mrs. Host recorded an abstention and the motion carried.
The board also approved a Then & Now certificate as presented. No further budget amendments or dollar amounts beyond the $4.69/mcf contract rate and the $500 donation were provided in the meeting record.
