The Public Service Commission approved settlement agreements in two show-cause matters stemming from Gas Pipeline Safety Division noncompliance notices and PHMSA-regulation concerns.
In Docket 33707 staff presented a settlement in which the operator (identified in the record as "Cusiban") agreed to be in full compliance within 60 days and to pay $16,000 in fines within 90 days; staff said a hearing would be scheduled in 120 days if the terms are not met. The Office of the Attorney General intervened in the matter prior to settlement.
In Docket 33708, concerning Bonnie Dunes Apartments, the parties agreed that Bonnie Dunes would be in full compliance within 60 days and pay a $25,000 fine, which may be offset by up to $8,500; documentation must be provided to commission staff and the Attorney General within 60 days, and a hearing will be set if terms are unmet. Commissioners voted to approve both settlement agreements.
