Town to move building permits online with iWorks forms and staff training

The town's permits and planning work is being migrated to an iWorks platform with new online forms and automated routing, the supervisor told the council. The supervisor said she and staff reviewed iWorks’ display and are building a simplified page on the town website to house permit forms and reviewer workflows.
She said the goal is to start staff trainings in July and to include the county in the process so the system can automatically notify reviewers, record dates and make the status of permits visible to applicants. No additional town appropriation was requested at the meeting; the supervisor said implementation and training are part of existing operational plans.
