Resident urges cooperation with new feral cat spay-and-neuter program

Soudin said the program includes rabies vaccinations and food distribution but that trapping is difficult in winter. "Spay, neuter... That's the only way you'll be able to control this population," she said. She did not know the grant amount and told the council she will invite the program representatives to brief the council at a future meeting.
Councilors asked staff and the ordinance committee to consider whether city code or outreach could help the effort and whether any funding or coordination would be needed.
