The committee approved a $500,000 procurement to manage and coordinate the Memphis Area Rideshare program and set an MWBE goal of 16.667% for the consultant role. Antonia White, community service specialist in the Health Department's air-quality improvement branch, described the program and said the department currently contracts with Enterprise; she told the committee there are 72 operating van pools and that disruptions to the vendor would leave many residents without transportation.
Dr. Lasony Hall moved to set the 16.667% MWBE goal and Administrator James Gloucester seconded; the three recorded ayes (Dr. Hall, Gloucester, Victor Anderson) carried the motion. The committee approved the goal and the project and moved on to scheduling and adjournment.
