The committee chair said the signage work was a commodity and not subject to MWBE goal-setting and asked that it be removed from the agenda. “The MWBE committee does not set goals on commodities,” the chair stated, prompting Administrator James Gloucester to move to drop the signage, signage goods and related professional services from the agenda; Dr. Lasony Hall seconded and the chair announced the item dropped without objection.
The discussion began with a staff clarification that the signage procurement would be issued as a sealed bid. Committee members did not take additional votes on the item after the chair’s procedural ruling. The chair moved the meeting on to the next agenda items.
