Council approves first readings on two annexations and introduces new finance director

BJ Unthank presented a first reading to annex 3.22 acres at TMS 004596-01-021 (184 Lott Court); staff said the parcel is being purchased by a user though details remain confidential. Council later held a first reading to annex roughly 1.2 acres across multiple TMS parcels on Taylor Street; both readings passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Senior Assistant City Administrator Justin Black introduced Kyle Cooper as the new finance director, noting Cooper’s experience in nonprofit finance and administration. Council also moved to combine and approve the July 7 and July 20 meeting minutes and approved them unanimously.
