Bensenville approves $709,221 phase 2 design agreement for Evergreen Street

Trustees approved a phase 2 design engineering agreement with BLA Incorporated (Itasca) for the Evergreen Street reconstruction STP project at a not-to-exceed $709,221. Staff said the project limits include Evergreen Street from Jefferson up to Green Street and Park Street, and described a full reconstruction in industrial standards (concrete roadway, new water mains, storm and sanitary infrastructure, sidewalks and street lights).
Staff estimated construction at approximately $10 million and said the village secured $4,235,000 in STP funds (about 45% of the cost). The agreement breaks the fee into design services and potential land-acquisition costs; the board approved the resolution by roll call.
