Board members focused questions on whether the addition would change the structure’s footprint and how visible the new garage would be from Pershing and Thomes. Taylor responded the garage will extend north, will be kept low to avoid blocking the house’s gables, and will use full‑height brick so “you can still tell historic and new.”
Planning staff confirmed a staff report and packet will be circulated before the next meeting, when the formal review and the demolition application will be placed on the agenda. No board action was taken at the public‑comment appearance.
