Bensenville approves intergovernmental agreement for school resource officer

The village board approved a resolution July 29 authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with Bensenville School District 2 to provide a school resource officer for the 2025–26 school year. Public-safety staff said Detective Kevin Banks, present at the meeting, will serve as the SRO and that the school district will reimburse the village for the service.
Joe, speaking for public safety, said this is the annual agreement defining the SRO role and reimbursement. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote with six trustees voting yes.
