The Village of Bensenville approved an ordinance July 29 amending Title 3 of the municipal code to increase class B liquor licenses from six to seven and reduce class F licenses from two to one, clearing the way for A1 Grocery at 1088 West Irving Park Road to obtain a class B license. Staff told the board the applicant has been "a great member of our community with no issues at their establishment."
Community-development staff explained the change is intended to allow the convenience store to expand its product offerings while maintaining its convenience-store operations. The ordinance passed on a roll-call vote with six trustees voting yes.
