The Town of Weston Selectboard approved a series of motions on June 3, 2026, ratifying actions taken at earlier meetings identified in a May 26 complaint and directing production of more detailed minutes for specified dates. Vice Chair Jim Linville made the motions to ratify actions taken at sessions in January, February, March, April, November and December 2025 and multiple April 2026 sessions; each motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Examples include motions to ratify actions taken at the January 6, 7 and 8, 2026 budget meetings and to produce sufficiently detailed minutes for those dates; to ratify the January 13–14, 2026 budget meetings; and to ratify actions taken at several April 2026 meetings relating to entering and exiting executive session. The board said these cures were addressed by the newly adopted minutes and agenda policies (motions A and B) and the revised Executive Session Policy (motion C).
Vice Chair Jim Linville told the board that "the new Open Meeting Policy will be posted after the June 9, 2026 Selectboard Meeting," indicating a near-term posting and adoption timeline. Each ratification motion passed unanimously.
