The vote was 3 in favor (Fitzpatrick, Dickman, Gehlich), 1 opposed (Chair Denny Benson) and one recusal: Jim Linville recused himself because of a possible conflict of interest.
During discussion Duane Hart raised concerns "regarding potential conflicts of interest involving Jim Linville who is affiliated with the Weston Community Association." The Selectboard proceeded with the contract vote after Linville recused. Board members emphasized the need to obtain final project costs before committing to construction and cautioned against pursuing multiple major capital projects simultaneously without secure funding plans.
