The board voted to adopt Ordinance 20-26-04, an amendment to Ordinance 2003-01, chapter 196, section 27, which raises the fine for parking in a fire lane to align with the township’s fee resolution. Manager Mike Gosser described the ordinance as the implementation step authorized at the prior meeting and said it will bring fire-lane fines into consistency with the fee schedule.
Supervisor Robin Lindsay said she was not in favor of the change in principle because littering fines can be higher than the proposed fire-lane penalty but agreed to take the manager’s recommendation now and said she will review the matter during next year’s budget process. The motion passed by voice vote.
