City business-licensing staff told the magistrate that Carlisle Apartment LLC has not completed county reviews required before the city can issue a certificate of use and business tax receipt.
Rafael Pedron, the city’s business licensing manager, said the county review process began in May and that the applicant is pending WSA approval. Owner David Carlisle said he had submitted a notarized affidavit of square footage two weeks earlier and is awaiting the remaining county sign-off. Magistrate Rafael Suarez Rivas allowed 30 days — to about Sept. 14 — for the owner to complete county requirements and secure the certificate of use and business tax receipt, and warned that a $100-per-day fine plus the $100 administrative fee will apply if they do not comply.
The magistrate urged the owner to visit the county office in person if electronic channels are not resolving the delay.
