Other trustees argued that many district practices already protect student and family privacy and that adoption of statewide recommended language helps districts that have no policy in place. Trustee 9 moved to adopt BP/AR 1445 while instructing the superintendent to gather clarifying guidance from CSBA, county offices and legal counsel and report back; the motion passed. The board asked staff to return with an explanation of how administrative warrants and county jurisdictions will be handled and to share any model language adjustments.
