Committee pushes for a shared repository to standardize pilot data and impact metrics

"I think a big goal of this ad hoc committee should be to create that 1 stop shop repository where we can get a sense of what the different pilot terms are in the different agencies," said a committee member. Austin Harrison, who self-identified as a data specialist, urged collecting basic contract details—grantee, term, structure—and performing annual ROI or impact analyses to compare programs.
Members discussed making data public when feasible and suggested starting with a 'coalition of the willing'—agencies that already publish high-quality records—to seed the repository. The Downtown Memphis Commission offered its searchable project database as a model and confirmed it is available online.
