At the May 13 meeting, Trustee Ruth Workman summarized recent historical society activity and museum updates. She said the home tour sold 140 tickets and that organizers estimate roughly 138'239 people attended the tour.
"They had a 140 tickets sold, and approximately maybe a 138, 239 people took the tour," Workman said, describing plans for an audio tour of the arsenal that will record memories of people who worked there and eventually pair that audio product with an on-site museum tour.
Workman also described leadership changes at the museum and the return of two former board members, Jim Lisonbee and Randy Scott, to help the board through transition. She noted the Camel Tracks newsletter and a community project creating monarch butterfly weigh stations in the museum garden.
The board did not take formal action on the historical society report; trustees discussed coordinating public schedules to avoid overlapping appearances at the farmers market and to improve communication between groups.
