At the Feb. 5 Committee of the Whole meeting, Village Manager Brett Kryska updated the board on the village's Public Works development plans and related next steps. He said an ordinance approving a loan is planned for consideration at the March Board meeting and that a bid opening would follow approval. Kryska also reported that acquisition activity related to Mannheim and Irving Park Road is moving forward in a "positive direction."
Kryska further reported that Williams Architects will continue schematic designs for a new Village Hall; he noted the Public Works building is no longer included with the original plans. No binding approvals were recorded at this Committee session; the loan ordinance and any bid outcomes would be processed at subsequent Board meetings as required.
