The North Ogden Planning Commission on Aug. 5 voted to approve a site plan review for Arms of Love, an in‑home daycare proposed for 186 West 1875 North. Staff told commissioners the applicant meets the city's in‑home daycare requirements under the land use code and recommended approval so the applicant can proceed with city business licensing and required inspections.
Ryan Nunn, the staff presenter, said the applicant met the code requirements for floor‑area and play area and had a designated pickup/drop‑off area. "Staff recommends planning commission to discuss it, and I'm here to answer any questions," Nunn told the commission. The applicant, participating by Zoom, confirmed she will complete background checks and the business license process and that inspections (including fire and kitchen) will follow before opening.
Commissioner Paul Swanson moved to approve the site plan, Commissioner Green seconded, and the commission conducted a roll‑call vote that resulted in unanimous approval. The staff next step is issuance of a notice of decision; the applicant must complete licensing and inspections before operating.
