Village District schedules auction of abandoned watercraft for Aug. 15

Commissioner Mark moved to schedule an auction of abandoned watercraft on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 9 a.m. at the Village District office on Conway Road (1680 Conway Road); the motion was seconded and approved by the board. Commissioners asked the office to notify property owners by Mailchimp and post notices on district bulletin boards.
Members discussed the possibility of showcasing new DPW truck decals and the refurbished truck at the event, and agreed that the auction date would give staff time to prepare a public announcement. "I'll make a motion that we schedule an auction of the abandoned watercraft on August 15 at 9AM at the VDE office on Conway Road, 1680 Conway Road," Mark said during the motion.
