City manager schedules ribbon cutting for water‑treatment plant upgrade

The city manager told the mayor and council the upgraded water‑treatment plant is nearing completion and a tentative ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. The manager described the project as having been under way since about 2019 with work continuing into 2022 and said more details will follow.
"Wednesday, August 26 at 10AM, we tentatively have a ribbon cutting scheduled for the water treatment plant upgrade," the city manager said. He added the plant upgrade represents a quality improvement for the system and staff will provide additional information to the council ahead of the event. The council did not take separate action on the ribbon cutting at this meeting.
