New Benicia Art Gallery Alliance to stage downtown open‑gallery day on June 7

He described the alliance’s mission to strengthen the local arts community through shared resources, visibility and collaboration and announced a launch event, Benicia Open Gallery Saturday, on June 7 from noon to 5 p.m.
Tovar said the alliance will host a website (beniciaartgalleryalliance.org) to list members and events, and highlighted programming plans including street musicians and a vintage trolley to connect downtown sites with the library and Arts Benicia. Mayor Young thanked the presenters and invited follow‑up questions about gallery participation and inclusion of artists at the Arsenal area.
The council and public encouraged inclusion of all downtown venues; presenters said they welcome new members and will continue outreach to sites that had not yet confirmed participation.
