Erinn Summers presented a proposed purchase agreement with Canyons School District to buy approximately 10.41 acres formerly used by Midvale Elementary at an appraised value and purchase price of $4,933,000. Key contract terms included earnest money of $49,330 due within five days, an expected closing on or around June 16, 2025, and a waiver of due diligence because the city has managed the property for over a decade.
Summers said the City has invested in amenities there (pickleball courts, basketball, splash pad) and characterized the parcel as having "become a vital extension of Midvale City Park." The council approved Resolution No. 2025-R-24 authorizing the Mayor to sign the Sale and Purchase Agreement.
