Jonathan Anderson reported that staff sent required public notice for proposed text amendments to Chapter 17 of the Midvale Municipal Code and that the changes would correct clerical errors in the use table and align parking standards for medical cannabis pharmacies and retail tobacco specialty businesses. He told the council that "No comments have been received as of the writing of this report." The Planning Commission considered the item and recommended approval.
Council Member Bryant Brown asked whether the ordinance would allow more specialty tobacco shops; staff responded that such businesses are regulated by state law and the amendment corrects code language rather than changing use permissions. The council voted to approve Ordinance No. 2025-O-06 amending multiple sections of the municipal code.
