The Los Molinos Unified School District Board of Education appointed Interim Superintendent Pat Atkins as secretary to the board and approved an agreement with ELS to conduct the district's superintendent search during its Jan. 16 meeting.
Melissa Peters moved to appoint Atkins as board secretary and Roger Mesecher seconded; the motion carried 5-0 with Trustees Morgan, Peters, Mekhail, Crossland and Mesecher voting aye and Trustees Andersen and Knox absent. The board separately approved an ELS professional services agreement and the ELS superintendent search contract in motions moved by Chuck Crossland and seconded by Melissa Peters. The meeting minutes record the outcome, "Motion carried 5-0."
