Harold, the city's engineer (speaker 4), told the council the screen has a long lead time: "The screen won't be here till the end of January." Council also approved Requisition Certificate No. 3 for wastewater-treatment-plant improvements in the amount of $45,337, a KIA-funded payment the chair presented for a voice vote that carried.
The council adopted the motions by voice vote with motions made and seconded. City staff said awarding the screen contract to Huber Technologies and approving the KIA requisition are steps toward starting construction and contractor work as funding authorizations are finalized.
