Committee member (S2) said the board should not open a county public-health department, noting "I definitely don't wanna open a county public health because we've got a great value there and they do an awesome job." The board discussed continuing the existing funding trajectory for the hospital-provided public-health services and agreed to consider the item further at budget time rather than change the arrangement immediately.
