Pending Board approval of an update to the district's long-range facilities plan, Nathan proposed allocating $250,000 from Fund 46 to begin renovations to Lincoln’s auditorium as a first-year starter amount. The committee also reviewed options for Jackson Elementary (district-owned, ~13 acres) and heard a demolition high-end estimate of about $2,400,000. Chair emphasized that moving funds into Fund 46 for the long-range plan does not mean immediate demolition: "By moving this to in fund 46 to the board, doesn't necessarily mean that Jackson's gonna be demolished tomorrow. That means that we now go to the board and open it up for discussion," the Chair said. Committee members discussed reuse, private-sale options, and the district’s responsibility to prevent blight if no buyer emerges.
