Nathan reported the transportation budget will increase by about $170,000 as the district moves to more single-run routes to support redistributed student assignments. "Transportation budget is increasing about a $170,000… we're going to be providing a lot more bussing throughout the district," he said.
Committee members asked whether Brandt could supply drivers and whether the routing plans were realistic; staff said Brandt is planning assuming high ridership to avoid under-service and that district staff will review routes in person. Nathan said the district has scheduled route reviews with Brandt and will monitor the first weeks for expected hiccups.
