Board sets March 3 town meeting logistics: presiding officer, clerks, counters and ballot handling assigned

At its Feb. 24 meeting the Board of Civil Authority finalized logistics for the March 3, 2026 town meeting. Phil Winters moved and Sherry Chase seconded approval of the ballot clerks; that motion passed by voice vote.
The board also approved Barbara Graham as Presiding Officer (motion by Susan Lyons, seconded by Heather King) and approved the counters (motion by Susan Lyons, seconded by Heather King). Elaine Owen moved, and Heather King seconded, to have Orvil Lasell oversee the ballot box up front. Finally, the board recorded that Elaine Owen and Susan Lyons will deliver absentee ballots if needed. All motions on these logistics were recorded as passing by voice vote.
