Summer programs continue at Abbot Public Library with hybrid Road Scholar events, teen makerspace projects and children's workshops

The board heard a roundup of July program highlights at the July 6 meeting. Adult services will host drop-in sessions including licensed mental health clinician Gina Rabbitt on July 6, tech help from Theresa Milewski on July 7 and July 28, and a weekly 'Coffee at the Library' social hour sponsored by the Friends of Abbot Public Library. Road Scholar hybrid broadcast-and-discussion events are scheduled for July 13 and July 15 and a senior safety seminar led by Dr. Nakeisha Rodgers on July 23.
Teen and children's programming was also highlighted: the Killam Teen Center is launching a 'Grab and Go' lanyard kit initiative on July 6; Thompson Makerspace will host a project building a six-foot K'NEX Ferris wheel; children's offerings include Story Time A-Go-Go with Debbie Leibowitz, a Musical Bedtime Story Time on July 13 and a 'Super Shells' environmental science and clay workshop on July 31 presented by Salem Sound Coastwatch.
