The Abbot Public Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously July 6 to approve several payments and a donation. Trustees approved director professional dues to be paid from the Sorenson Fund — $270 for American Library Association membership and $220 for Massachusetts Library Association membership — as well as deferred maintenance invoices and a travel reimbursement.
The board approved deferred maintenance payments submitted for the deferred budget: $5,128 to Swampscott Glass for window repair, $1,062.25 to Kraft Power for generator replacement parts and $4,128 for an HVAC BMS Viking FY27 service agreement. Trustees also approved $225 for additional travel expenses for Director Kimberly Grad to attend the ALA annual meeting in Chicago. The board voted to donate the Sarah Gregory chair, which had been on loan, to the Marblehead Museum. The motions were seconded and approved unanimously.
