Catherine Fox, the 21st Century coordinator, described the Youth Career Cafe as a daily resource for 14- to 21-year-olds that provides goal-setting, counseling, workshops and career exploration. Fox said the program is currently at the Hampton Coliseum and will relocate to the NetCenter in Newmarket North, with a grand opening planned “sometime in early March.”
Fox said counselors and community workforce partners host workshops for students who are either college-bound or workforce-bound, and invited council members to the grand opening once the date is finalized. The announcement followed the after-school program presentation and was presented as a complementary workforce and educational support.
