CVRPC presents two draft vision options for Williamstown Town Plan 2026

Lory Banbury of CVRPC presented the Town Plan 2026 update and asked the Williamstown Planning Commission to choose between two draft Vision Statement options and to identify which of the existing 2016 goals should be kept, edited or deleted. "The Planning Commission would like Williamstown to be a vibrant village center with an outlying landscape of open farm lands and forests," Banbury said, noting the 2016 vision still reflected recent survey results.
Banbury asked commissioners to review a goals-and-tasks chart and mark it with a star for keep, a dash to edit or a D to delete; she apologized that some lines had been truncated in the handout and said she would rerun the chart in Excel and resend it for reprinting. She said CVRPC would produce printed materials in larger font and simplified wording and that "we will also be using AI to do some of this," to speed plain-language drafting and outreach materials. Commissioners agreed to return marked worksheets for consolidation so CVRPC can convert priorities into draft goals.
