The committee also discussed plans to expand a community garden, assign downtown planters to volunteers and investigate safety and replacement of the Santa figure on the water tower for summer holiday displays.
Committee members asked for volunteers for planter maintenance and said they would produce a postcard and flyer to recruit interest and publicize events. The clerk noted the grant deadlines and said she will apply for both grants by the March deadlines.
