Commissioners approve small fund transfers for sheriff repairs and vehicle maintenance

Brooks County Commissioners approved two budget transfers March 19. The court voted unanimously to move $500 from account 012-05-0512-5550 (out-of-county travel) into 012-5-0512-9080 (repairs and maintenance — buildings) at the Sheriff's Office's request. The motion to approve the transfer was moved by Commissioner Rolando Gutierrez and seconded by Commissioner Eduardo "Eddie" Garza.
Separately, the court approved moving $5,000 from 101-5-0033-5420 (engineering fees) and $5,000 from 101-5-0033-5105 (gas & oil) into 101-5-0033-580 (vehicle maintenance). Commissioner Nora Salinas moved that transfer and Commissioner Rolando Gutierrez seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Both transfers were recorded as approved by roll-call vote with four yes votes.
