The South Bend City Council on May 27 adopted Ordinance 1616, amending Chapter 9.10 of the South Bend Municipal Code to revise provisions on disorderly conduct and public nuisances and authorizing clerical corrections. Councilor Manlow moved that the ordinance be adopted; the motion carried with recorded votes of Ayes-4, Noes-0.
Police Chief Stigall expressed appreciation to the council following the passage. The ordinance establishes the amended language in the municipal code; the council did not record any dissent during the formal vote. The council meeting was called to order by Mayor Bethany Barnard at 5:30 p.m. and adjourned at 5:54 p.m.
