A department head thanked his crew for managing operations in his absence and told the council he plans to have city counsel ("Mister Simon") address the city's animal ordinance so the code can be "buttoned up." "I plan on having him tackle our animal ordinance or our animal, code in that instance so that we can get some of that stuff buttoned up," the department head said. The comment followed appreciation for staff performance while he was gone.
Council members also exchanged brief service announcements: Supervisor Halk reported progress on a county partnership to address Morrison Creek issues, and the council confirmed the city's spring cleanup will take place on June 15. The mayor closed the meeting after these routine reports and announcements.
