Anne-Marie Coy reviewed the Health Department's draft 2025 Annual Report at the April 14 meeting, pointing to several accomplishments from the year. Coy noted expansion of the department laboratory and that "Bleed Stop Kits" are now being provided in county buildings. She described partnerships with Red Cliff Health Center and Brownstone Pharmacy to hold after-hours vaccination clinics for local families and said the department is piloting an Adolescent Health program with local school districts.
Michelle Crowell, public health nurse manager, summarized communicable-disease updates and discussed grant funding for tick-borne disease. Coy said childhood vaccination rates rose slightly in 2025 but remain low overall. The report also updates county demographics: an older population, an improved housing-to-income ratio compared with the prior year, and a decline in the childhood poverty rate over the last two years.
