Health officer: Dual Protection grant will replace Title X; county to spend most funding on clinical services

The Bayfield County Board of Health voted April 14 to accept a Reproductive Health Family Planning Program Dual Protection Grant and forward the resolution to the full County Board for approval. Anne-Marie Coy, Bayfield County director of public health and health officer, said, "This grant will replace the Title X grant that ended." The board approved the motion made by Jeff Olsen and seconded by Jan Lee.
Coy told the board that most of the grant funding will be spent on clinical family-planning services. She also said the grant will pay for a portion of the county condom-distribution program and for stocking reproductive-health items in a vending machine. The acceptance sends the grant resolution to the full County Board for final approval.
